The Murphey School Radio Show is a briskly-paced variety show recorded live in the auditorium at the historic Murphey School in rural Orange County. Talented musicians and writers from the Triangle community perform their songs, skits and stories. It is a true variety show -- a mash-up of Prairie Home Companion and Grand Ole Opry -- all recorded live for broadcast. We produce two shows in one day -- a matinee at 3pm and a repeat in the evening at 7pm.
This matinee performance will run from 3pm-5pm. Doors to the building open at 2:15pm, and seating will begin at 2:30pm.
The radio show is a project of the generous folks at Shared Visions Foundation, enabling 100% of the donation you give for admission ($40 matinee/$50 evening performance) to go directly to the two wonderful local nonprofit organizations selected as beneficiaries.
For this November production, our beneficiaries are CLUB NOVA COMMUNITY, INC. and INTER-FAITH COUNCIL (IFC) -- two essential agencies serving families in the Triangle.
